Application & Performance

DISCO check valves are a special form of non-return valve. The special property lies in the construction of the valve, the design differs greatly from the check-valve. The disc of the valve is pressed against the inside of the casing by a ring-shaped spring, thus reliably closing the pipe system against reflux. If the pressure comes from the front, the dished plate inside the casing opens and allows the liquid or gas medium to flow. Because of the spring, it can be installed in any position, the short installation length is also an advantage. Frequently, the Disco valves are used in water pipes, industrial plants, in mining, shipbuilding, the chemical industry, in heating and other hot water plants.
The DISCO non-return valves are made with flange connections with the nominal widths DN15 – DN250. The valve only needs a very small opening pressure of merely 0.2 bar and depending on the model can be used at up to 600 bar. Thanks to our kit system, specific opening pressures are possible upon request. You can also discuss special valve sizes with our Technology Department.
